Student Parking

Brown provides parking options for medical and graduate students. A limited number of spaces are also available for undergraduate accessibility parking.

Medical Students

Medical students have the option of purchasing a parking permit for the Richmond Street Garage, also named the Medical School Garage. Individuals must add themselves to a waitlist within Park@Brown. You must sign in with your Brown credentials. Individuals must also add their vehicle information on Park@Brown.

Graduate Students

Brown offers parking to graduate students. BioMed graduate students have the option of purchasing a parking permit for the Richmond Street Garage, also named the Medical School Garage. College Hill-based students can add themselves to the lot 55 waitlist.  Individuals must add themselves to a waitlist within Park@Brown. You must sign in with your Brown credentials. You will see all waitlists available to you. Individuals must also add their vehicle information on Park@Brown.

Undergraduate Students

Brown currently does not offer parking to undergraduate students.

Students with a disability need for parking should connect with Student Accessibility Services (SAS).

Students Parking Pricing

Undergraduate Commuter Parking, per academic year$800
Graduate Student Parking, per year$600
Medical Student Parking, per year$600

Graduate and Medical students are charged $300 per semester.

Street Parking

If Brown University parking is unavailable, individuals may find metered parking on the streets in and around campus. Parking meters in Providence do not accept cash or credit cards, payment is made using the Passport parking application. The Passport Parking App allows you to conveniently pay for parking from anywhere using your mobile device.

Please pay close attention to on-street signs that are marked for Brown-specific spaces, as these are reserved for Brown employees only and require a specific Brown daytime employee parking permit. Students may not park in these spaces. Cars parked in these spaces without employee Brown University parking permits may be ticketed and/or towed at the owner's expense.
